ISO has registered a new work item, ISO/AWI 16321-2, to revise the standard on eye and face protection used during welding and related techniques. The second edition will replace ISO 16321-2:2021

ISO/FDIS 11612 — 4th Edition of Heat & Flame Protective Clothing Standard Reaches Final Approval

The 4th edition of ISO 11612 (protective clothing to protect against heat and flame — minimum performance requirements) has been registered as a Final Draft International Standard, ISO/FDIS 11612, and is now under formal approval. It will replace ISO 11612:2015

NEN published the draft of EN 149:2026, setting minimum requirements for particle filtering half masks (FFP) in occupational settings, covering laboratory and practical performance tests. The revised test methods will affect FFP1/2/3 certification.

Fall-Arrest Harmonised Standards Transition Expired (Mandatory from 8 Oct 2026)

Under Implementing Decision (EU) 2024/2599, transitional provisions for fall-protection harmonised standards such as EN 360:2023 and EN 564:2023 expired on 8 October 2026. Fall-arrest products must be re-assessed to the new standards.
依据执行决定（EU）2024/2599，EN 360:2023、EN 564:2023 等防坠落 PPE 协调标准的过渡期条款自 2026 年 10 月 8 日起强制适用，旧版标准引用随之失效，坠落防护产品须按新标准重新验证。

EU Parliament Updates Rules on Worker Protection against Dangerous Chemicals

The European Parliament backed updated rules to protect workers from dangerous chemical exposure, expected to prevent around 1,700 lung cancer cases. The rules clarify provisions on PPE such as respiratory protective devices, including the right to breaks in contamination-free areas.
欧洲议会通过更新规则以加强工人免受危险化学品暴露的保护，预计可预防约 1,700 例肺癌；新规明确个人防护装备（如呼吸防护装置）的提供与使用条款，包括进入无污染区域休息的权利。

EU Amends PPE Harmonised Standards List (2026/1971)

Implementing Decision (EU) 2026/1971 amends (EU) 2026/1279 on harmonised standards for PPE, adding EN ISO 374-6:2025 for hairdressers' protective gloves and updating standards for rain protective clothing and eye/face protection. Manufacturers should update type examination accordingly.
欧盟委员会执行决定（EU）2026/1971 修订（EU）2026/1279，新增美发师防护手套 EN ISO 374-6:2025，并更新防雨防护服、职业用眼面部防护相关协调标准，相关企业需据此更新型式检验与符合性声明。
